We are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to join long-term, large-scale project in a security-critical public-sector environment focused on setting up a highly secure Google Air-Gapped Cloud.
The platform will be fully isolated and deployed and operated directly within the customer’s data centers.
Key Requirements (Must Have):
- Several years of experience setting up and operating production Kubernetes environments.
- Very good Linux administration, operations, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience operating cloud-native platforms and modern infrastructure environments.
- Good understanding of networking fundamentals.
- Experience with server and storage infrastructure.
- German language proficiency.
- Willingness and eligibility to undergo SÜ3 security clearance — mandatory.
- Willingness to work 100% on-site in Berlin after successful security clearance.
- Strong willingness to learn and interest in modern cloud technologies.
Secondary Requirements (Nice to Have):
- Initial hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
- Experience with Helm for packaging and deploying applications.
- Experience deploying and managing containerized applications.
- Experience working with cloud-native platforms and modern infrastructure environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, install, and commission a Google Air-Gapped Cloud in highly secure data centers.
- Install, configure, and operate production Kubernetes platforms.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications.
- Administer and continuously develop the Kubernetes infrastructure.
- Use Helm for packaging and application deployment.
- Install and integrate server, network, and storage components.
- Perform rack installation and cabling of delivered hardware.
- Implement technical requirements based on architecture, operations, and security specifications.
- Participate in the dedicated Google Air-Gapped Cloud training program and continuous professional development in the Google Cloud environment.
